Welcome to Birdflower Farm

Birdflower Farm is a farmily-owned cut flower farm located in Virgil, Illinois. It includes a renovated 1890s farmhouse, an orchard, a 1/2 acre of prairie, and more flowers every season!

With 10 acres of fertile farmland, we have room to grow! We love to host workshops, yoga classes, and private events on the farm, and sell our one-of-a-kind bouquets at local markets and pop ups. We hope to see you this Season!

Birdflower Farm Grows Locally
& Sustainably

Did you know that over 80% of all cut flowers are imported from other countries?

When that happens, flowers are cut, sprayed, stored, and then transported. This takes time, labor, and resources. The carbon footprint is large, as well as the plastic waste. Here at Birdflower farm, we use sustainable practices from seed to harvest, ensuring the highest quality and longest vase life of our flowers.

Our flowers are cut, conditioned, bunched and sold usually in just one day! We never use pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers on our farm. Our no till growing methods help protect the soil, preserving its structure and all of the organisms living within it.
